Some of the super-talented photographers who have been guest judges previously include; Jose Villa, Kelly Moore, Jasmine Star, Becker, Amy Wenzel, Nate Kaiser (Image is Found) so I’m humbled to have been considered!

A few last weddings to shoot now for the winter, and I’ve nearly caught up on my April editing, so I’ll be looking forward to attending to my neglected blog!
In the meantime, we’ve been published in a number of different places… Click the images for the posts.
Pretty in White blogged about our shoot with Jenny Sun Photography back in December last year. They were the designer kind enough to allow us to shoot their pretty, gorgeous dresses for the day.

Our favourite album company Queensberry blogged us back when we blogged earlier about the albums we have come in.

The Modern Weddings website did a Real Weddings article, featuring the stunning wedding of Malcolm & Alex.

I was recently featured on the Mola Blog for using their Mola Softlight products. Mola Softlights make incredible beautydish lighting modifiers. Anyway check the blog to see some photos they used of mine and some of the other amazing content on there. Here are the 2 Mola’s I currently have…

More blog posts this week hopefully, before I’m off to Perth to shoot James + Adele’s wedding on the weekend!
I’ve set the blog up now, so everytime you see the logo (as below) on an image – with an ‘i’ incorporated in it, roll your mouse over and you will get some details on how the shot was taken. This might include – a behind-the-scenes shot, a lighting diagram, or some scribbled lighting notes. My way of giving back some of the goodies I’ve learn’t along my journey in photography.
You can subscribe in the email subscription field to the right and you’ll get emailed when I blog something new.
(note for the rollovers to work, your browser must support CSS or you will have to click on the image to change it. Seems to support iPhone too… yay!)

the above appears and works in the bridal: Melanie post below.
As always, feel free to hit up the comments to ask questions. I’ll try and respond to them inside the comments and or via email.

After what has felt like a forever, I’ve finally got our new website up! I blogged back in August that changes were coming so it’s nice to know they are now here! I designed the logo / layout myself and then pulled it all together using Adobe products.
Included in the new changes are;
new layout, logo design, portfolio slideshow (with fullscreen option), new services (bridals, crazybooth), new packages / prices and a slightly different blog design.
our new design:
(view it here)

our previous (dated) design:
(view it here)

…new stationery is coming also!!

I’m stoked to be the featured Mola pro for September on their website, www.mola-light.com! In my opinion, Mola make the best beauty-dishes (lighting modifier) in the world. Most of the images created around us – fashion shoots, beauty shots, cosmetic advertising etc use a beauty dish in some way, and in most cases a Mola is the preferred professional choice. Click the “Who’s Using Mola” to see my writeup. Also check out the “Samples” link to see movie posters, famous magazine covers etc where a Mola has been used.

It’s 9am on the morning our 3rd child is officially due, but still no signs of it’s arrival! I will be slowing down for a few weeks (as best I know how) following His (yes I said His!) arrival.
In the meantime there will be a few changes to our business – one of which is the increase of our prices in the next few weeks. We will also be releasing new portrait pricing and two new exciting services!
As a post always needs a photo, here is one of our eldest, Josiah…

On Valentine’s Day, Dale and Megan were married! It was such a fitting day for the two of them to get married! I lost count of the number of inquiries I had for that day – it seemed everyone wanted to be married on that day! They had their whole wedding at The Sebel, Kirkton Park in the Hunter Valley. I travelled up on Friday, and spent Friday and Saturday night there which I LOVED! It was a great weekend, although it rained the entire time! We kept indoors the whole day, but Megan has a trash the dress coming up so we’ll take them up to the Southern Highlands to get the photos we missed out on in some lovely vineyards.

Megan had put alot of thought into her details – and I loved them!

Megan in her beautiful Maggie Sottero dress…

The ceremony was planned outside, but the rain changed plans to inside

‘pufferfish’ was something Megan’s family do in every photo – so they wanted one of the bridal party… puffering (?)

I was amazed when I saw Megan’s reception setup. She had lots of test-tubes in racks on the tables and in vase’s. The story behind it is Dale & Megan met in the chemistry lab! Very cool!

During the reception I took them to the indoor pool and used my video light. At one stage I knocked the light into the pool – still on and it kept working and still works!

winding up the reception, centrepieces became hats…
