‘i’ is for interactive
More blog posts this week hopefully, before I’m off to Perth to shoot James + Adele’s wedding on the weekend!
I’ve set the blog up now, so everytime you see the logo (as below) on an image – with an ‘i’ incorporated in it, roll your mouse over and you will get some details on how the shot was taken. This might include – a behind-the-scenes shot, a lighting diagram, or some scribbled lighting notes. My way of giving back some of the goodies I’ve learn’t along my journey in photography.
You can subscribe in the email subscription field to the right and you’ll get emailed when I blog something new.
(note for the rollovers to work, your browser must support CSS or you will have to click on the image to change it. Seems to support iPhone too… yay!)

the above appears and works in the bridal: Melanie post below.
As always, feel free to hit up the comments to ask questions. I’ll try and respond to them inside the comments and or via email.

I’ve been super busy recently – there was 11 e’sessions and 1 trash the dress I’ve shot which probably won’t be blogged on here. In the interest of keeping my blog partially alive in the meantime, here is a sneek-peak from another bridal shoot I organised while up the coast before I’m off to a double-header…

If your friendly with me on facebook – you’ve probably seen some others ‘leaked’ on there already π

I was recently on holidays up at Anna Bay, just north of Newcastle in NSW with my family. The time away was a little bit of a break but also for me to shoot some photos on the sand dunes at Stockton Beach. We arrived on the Thursday and the next day, I met up with model Melanie J and makeup artist Danielle Hampton for the shoot. The weather played nice for most of the time and enabled us to great these photos. It was impossibly hot so we didn’t venture onto the sand dunes but stayed on the cooler coast at Birubi beach.

behind the scenes of the above photo – 110cm of mola beauty-dish lighting…!

lots of blue which I LOVE!

then we made it into the water, but it was short lived! There was lighting hitting the water not too far away in the distance and we thought it better to call it a day π
Poor Danielle was holding a big metal stick standing in the water next to me!

thanks Mel + Danielle for your amazing efforts!

Geoff & Kerrie were married back on the 6th of February. We had lots of fun on their e’session earlier and this was my 100th wedding so I knew it would be fun!
It was my first Greek Orthodox ceremony, so Kerrie made sure I was well prepped with comprehensive details and a youtube video! Obviously part of it being in Greek, I didn’t understand alot of it — but it was exciting to be a part of something different. It rained most of the day, but we had a great backup plan to shoot at Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul. I was secretly hoping it would rain so I could shoot there again! Reception followed at the stunning Villa D’oro.
It was good to work again with videographer Daniel from No Limit Pictures.

Kerrie stunning…

Geoff was also… um… handsome

onto Anitas…

then onto the court-house in Wollongong. There must have been about 50 million other bridal parties there as well. (ok so maybe 4)

Thanks for a perfect day!

Workshop update
Thanks to those overwhelming responses to our lighting workshop we posted recently! We had invites from interstate and numerous from overseas including America! We still have questionnaires trickling in, so we will be making some announcements after we’ve tallied up the feedback.
The original post was here and the questionnaire is still available for those interested in our workshops.
