My first wedding in March was the beautiful wedding of Troy & Jacqui. We were just starting to see some real colour changes with the onset of Autumn which I love. I loved the personal touches they put into their wedding, including their dog accompanying them at the ceremony and Jacqui doing a bellydance for Troy at the reception.
Jacqui had makeup and some of her prep up the road at Acre Hill, before we moved onto Briars Country Lodge & Historical Inn for the remainder. The rest of the day was at Briars, the weather blessing us with some lovely sun for their outdoor ceremony.
love different coloured bridal shoes…
gotta love a bride that will sit down in long grass… 🙂
Jacqui’s stationery was gorgeous…
More photos can be accessed here for guests and family of the wedding. (passcode is Jacqui’s maiden name)
Thanks T+J for a perfect wedding <34 Comments | Leave a Comment
Lyn & Elissa were married in the gorgeous Southern Highlands last month in February. Lyn & Elissa are what they would refer to as a ‘cliche couple’. Lyn is a Pilot and Elissa is an air hostess. I loved seeing them weave this through the reception, with all the MC announcements sounding like cabin-crew messages on board a flight. It was lovely to return to Centennial Vineyards for their wedding, the first time I have shot a ceremony and reception all on site. Elissa got ready down the road at Briars Country Lodge in Bowral before being escorted in vintage elegance to the awaiting Lyn.
It had to have been the shortest location time I’ve shot yet, 20 minutes but I was up to the challenge and we grabbed some beautiful shots in amongst the vineyards. It was a gorgeous day and I especially loved the yellow and golden-like photos we grabbed.
Lyn surprised Elissa with this old car to drive her to see him…
gorgeous backdrop for your ceremony, late in the afternoon…
another amazing, happy smiley couple… <3
I indulged Elissa’s love of old gates 😀
a photo with the Centennial ‘C’ in the background, C now for Mr and Mr’s Clarke.
Thanks for a super awesome day, J x

I love shooting weddings in Bowral, especially coming up to autumn. The whole area becomes a wash of dizzying colour which I am in absolute heaven shooting.
Andrew & Sally were married on the 26th of March, having their ceremony outdoors are Briars Country Lodge and Inn and their reception at Centennial Vineyards, Bowral. We had a beautiful day with some lovely weather and the day was a whole lot of fun to photograph.
the family driveway in Robertson was gorgeous, they each had their own tree along the driveway!
Sally had her 3 sisters in the bridal party + 1 🙂
love this one of Sally in the backyard…
at the ceremony Sally setup a canvas for guests to stamp their thumbs on and ‘leaf’ their name next to it – awesome idea!
chatting with Andrew after, he welled up big time as Sally came down the aisle…
as they signed the register, Sally’s grandma played the piano for the music
some beautiful candid moments…
then onto centennial for some photos… letting the b.party loose..
the whole bridal party was alot of fun
then we went to mingle with the guests before going in. Sally had a gorgeous bird theme running and all the guests had name-tags to wear. On the back of each name-tag was a personalised, handwritten leter to each of the guests. Such a cool idea!
each of the tables had names of the local areas – Robertson etc…
a few quick night photos…
and then time to crank up the crazybooth! Sally bought some hilarious props and we got heaps of crazy photos of the guests…

On the 29th of August was the long awaited wedding of Luke & Erica! As mentioned previously, we are good friends with Erica and I think I was almost as excited about their wedding day as they were! It was such an honour to photograph their wedding at Briars Country Lodge in Bowral. What started out looking like a miserable day, cleared up and became a perfect end-of-winter day in Bowral. Hair was by Sensoria Hairdressers and makeup by our favourite Yvette from Ethix Makeup.
Erica, being a wedding floral designer, just had to do her own flowers and they looked spectacular! When I arrived to the room the girls were getting ready in, there was flowers all over the room and Erica was busy finishing off the corsages!
hanging the dress, just out of eye-shot from the guests + groom!
I love long veils for photos…
then onto the cermony – love Luke’s smile as Erica came down the aisle…
the lake at Briars made a perfect backdrop…
for the location we went off-site to a location I had wanted to shoot a wedding in for a while. Driving there took up some of our shooting time, but it was worth it!
one of my favourites from the day…
then back to Briars for the reception. Erica did the arrangements, and the larger of the table centrepieces had lights inside the vase which lit up… very cool!
Thanks for a beautiful day Luke & Erica! I can’t wait until your bridal E!7 Comments | Leave a Comment
