Wedding: Alex + Liz

Posted by in Hunter Valley Wedding, Wedding

It’s good to be blogging again! I was in New Zealand for a week just recently with my little brother shooting a wedding on the South Island.

So it’s back with a bang with Alex & Liz’s gorgeous Hunter Valley wedding. A & L were married back on the 25th of September in Woodville – located north of the Hunter Valley region. After Liz’s stellar effort with her e’session back in July, I was really looking forward to her wedding. I recruited my dear friends Ale & Jazzy to help out so big thanks for joining me girls!

I love Jazzy’s gorgeous perfume photo below πŸ™‚

Liz made her wedding flowers our of hairpieces courtesy of Alannah Hill which looked amazing…

then we went onto a local private garden for a ‘first look’ with A & L and some location photos before the ceremony…

we let the very debonair Alex wait for his first look at Liz…

some cute moments by themselves…

then some photos with the rest of the b.party and around the grounds…

then onto All Saints Church at Woodville where the ceremony and reception was held…

a few more photos in the paddock at the back of the church / local bridge…

some of the wedding kids – too cute not to blog!

Ale continued to play with the kids while I photographed A & L…

I loved Liz’s squirrel-ly theme…

the music-roll centrepiece paper was a great idea!

then we kicked up the crazybooth…

and many many more, very intoxicated ones not suitable for public blogs πŸ˜€

Thanks for an utterly gorgeous day Alex & Liz!

Wedding: Brent + Anita

Posted by in Eling Forest Winery - Sutton Forest, Southern Highlands Wedding, Wedding

On the 18th of September, Brent & Anita had their wedding at the gorgeous Eling Forest Winery at Sutton Forest. It was the first time I had been there for a wedding and I was really looking forward to it. Naomi and I had done some recon around the grounds and had a superb lunch there during the week before the wedding. (we will be returning on Friday for Naomi’s grandma’s birthday) Brent & Anita are such a lovely couple and it really is the best job in the world taking photos of gorgeous, fun, people in love!

We had the perfect day for the wedding…

with blossoms coming out to play…

then some photos around the grounds…

the petaled aisle makes for a nice backdrop…

then it was paarrrrrtyyyy time!

and of course a party isn’t complete without the crazybooth!

Albums!

Posted by in Wedding Albums

We’ve had quite a few gorgeous albums rolling out the door in the last few weeks. It’s sounds completely lame, but it’s quite sad saying goodbye and sending them off to their owners. Wish we could keep them all! Anyway, just sharing a few snaps Jonathan has taken when I’ve been successful at nagging πŸ™‚

Love love love the cover from Jerry & Nathalia’s Wedding…

cappuccino leather YUM!

Optional sheer title page. Sally’s dad planted tree’s for his wife & 4 girls and this is Sally’s mums tree in the background…

Sample album from David & Katie’s Hunter Valley Wedding…

and Sam wanted a photo too… πŸ™‚

E’session: Amos + Amanda

Posted by in Esession

warning – serious fun ahead!

For Amos & Amanda’s e’session they wanted to do things a little different. Paint fight anyone?? I had photographed them both back nearly 3 years ago, so when they got engaged I was really excited to be asked to photograph their wedding later in the year at The Tea Room, QVB. Now they had nice photos before so they wanted something a bit different!

We started off with a few photos around the area near my Bowral office before moving onto one of my favourite spots for a little fun…

then out came the real paint πŸ˜€

and the paint did fly…

everywhere…

neither were holding back…

and cheap shots were taken…

love this one… throwing in the sunlight made pretty paint clouds…

a little break… kiss and makeup??

hmmm maybe no making up…

Best.fun.ever!

It was a shame I had to photograph it all and not join in!

and then a ‘normal’ face to see how painted they became πŸ˜€

afterwards on the drive home they stopped off for Pizza – they had some some very strange looks from strangers πŸ˜€

thanks guys for getting dirty for me πŸ™‚

Wedding: Elton + Kylie

Posted by in Palazzo Versace - Gold Coast, Wedding

Last Saturday Elton & Kylie had their gorgeous wedding on the Gold Coast in Queensland. I had sent Naomi with 2 boys up earlier for a few days off with friends and I joined them on the Thursday with Josiah before the Saturday’s wedding. It was great catching up with our good friends Craig & Di who also photograph weddings with their business. Craig joined me for the wedding day to help out and take great photos too!

Kylie got ready at the amazing 5 star Palazzo Versace hotel, where they later had their wedding reception. This venue was decadently gorgeous and you felt like royalty walking around inside.

We had a great day, some beautiful weather (it rained all the next day) and I am truly thankful to them for bringing me up for the experience & mini-holiday.

Naomi was up early with Caleb and photographed the sunrise for the day…

off to take some photos of Elton and the boys getting ready at a nearby apartment… Versace cufflinks!

then back to the Versace for Kylie’s prep…

Craig’s flowergirl shot:

Kylie was stunning…

then onto their wedding ceremony at The Hyatt Chapel at Sanctuary Cove…

gorgeous gorgeous chapel…

a few photos around the grounds of the Hyatt Regency

love this one – Kylie’s dress looked amazing!

and some photos on Mainbeach

back to their wedding Reception at the Versace

Kylie’s themeing was stunning

then a few night shots around the Versace – vibrant style

check the Versace’s foyer— !

Thanks guys for bringing me up for your beautiful wedding! <3

Wedding: Paul + Kathryn

Posted by in Hyde Park Barracks - Sydney, Sydney Wedding, Wedding

Paul & Kathryn held a gorgeous, intimate wedding last Saturday in Sydney. Kathryn prepared at The Hilton Sydney before we moved on to their 11am ceremony at St James Church. A few photos around Circular Quay and then Hyde Park before walking over to the Hyde Park Barracks Cafe for their reception. The whole day for me was finished by 4pm, time left over to meet new clients! Special mention to my new assistant Nelson for being a big help on the day!

some floriade promo was going on in the sky

cute <3 !

found some fun light on the ground from a nearby building – Paul happened to put his wineglass down on some chairs that were already there πŸ™‚

Kat did a great job with her burgundy theme…

Paul woke up this morning with “… something attached to my leg”…

and lots of friends and family having fun!

Have a great time in NEWWWWWWW York guys!

Bridal: Vibrant Workshop day 2

Posted by in Bridal, Southern Highlands Wedding, Workshops

Over the past few weeks I have enjoyed running my 1 on 1 workshops with Arnel, Karl, Matthew, David & Rebecca.

Last Saturday was day 2 of the workshop which was a group bridal shoot in the Southern Highlands. It was a day to put some things the delegates had learnt into practice, stretching themselves and getting some gorgeous photos in the process!

A big thanks to the team that helped put the whole thing together:

Patty & Roger @ Summerlees for your gorgeous property
Yvette, Claire & Michelle @ Ethix Makeup for your stunning makeup and hair
Sheree, Barry, Kaleb @ She Designs for your breathtaking styling and custom props
Nelson & Bianca for your help assisting on the day
Dennis @ Pretty in White Malyasia for your delectable, beautiful wedding gowns & the wonderful Jenny Sun for bringing the dresses back from Malaysia for us!
Tanya & Leanne for your patience and beauty infront of the camera

and to Naomi – for putting up with me in the process of planning, last-minute organising and your down-to-earth ideas.

We had a great day despite a few early hiccups in the planning and the weather played nice considering we had next to none of the forecast 35km/hr winds that everywhere else had! We started at 11:30 and ran until about 7pm. We did have rain roll in and out throughout the day, almost 4 seasons in the one day, but we managed to get most of the themes setup how we had planned. Weatherzone was telling me it was around 6 degrees C, but it felt more like 2 so the 3 girls were amazing infront of the camera while we were well rugged up!

we started with a nautical fashiony theme…

then onto the Summerlees driveway with Leanne for some photos…

we were the first people to photograph Sheree’s new set as below, Barry made it for the shoot! This would make just the most amazing ceremony piece for any brides looking for something extra special for their wedding day. (Naomi is totally threatening a vow-renewal just for Sheree’s styling)

you can see the last time we worked with Sheree at Alex and Malcolm’s wedding.

My little sister Bianca came along to help out and ended up putting on a dress for some fun & extra gorgeousness… Thanks B!

thanks again all for an EPIC effort.

E’session: Alex + Liz

Posted by in Esession

Last time we tried to meetup for Alex & Liz’s e’session it was completely rained out torrential style – so this time we managed to get a much nicer day! I was expecting to rock up to the boat sheds to take a few photos with the boats etc but Liz brought things! My word! Just a few things she had lying around the house… awesome! When we first met Liz up in our Bowral office she had a style-file filled with all the cool things she had seen at other weddings on the internet etc. I think her Hunter Valley Wedding later in the year is going to be incredible – she’s putting some serious thought into her themeing. “..if it can all come together as it looks in my head”

We had a lovely afternoon – and they couldn’t have made my job easier!

the cupcakes were apparently really yummy – remind me where they were from again Liz?

Alex read some sort of German poem – it sounded impressive, then again I wouldnt have known if it was made up… πŸ™‚

I <3 details…

Liz was a little happy to be out boating… cute-alert!

super love this one…

congrats guys x
