My last wedding for this year was the Sunday that just past. I had the absolute privilege of photographing the wedding of Australian model, Lauren Vickers to her fiancé and famed MotoGP rider, Randy de Puniet.
They had a lovely wedding at Long Reef Golf Club, surrounded by many friends and family. Lauren got ready at her mum’s house in Fairlight and the boys arrived in typical GP style on the back of Deus bikes.

workshop: Lighting bootcamp!
Letting you all know I’m planning a few ‘lighting bootcamp’ workshops for photographers early next year in January / February. I will be running a comprehensive, hands-on lighting workshop covering a number of topics, hosted at the ever gorgeous Summerlees Cottages, in the Southern Highlands. These workshops will be a great way to check out all things ‘light’…
I plan on packing the day with;
* looking for available light
* posing in midday sun
* using reflectors
* using off-camera flash
* shooting at sunset
* night shots: flash / video light
* creative special effects
The day will run from 10am to 8pm odd with dates, pricing and further information to be released soon.

Busy as usual, every weekend out with weddings until the end of December!
Every now and then I do some personal work, here is a shot of another photographer out with me shooting some stars late one weekday. The stars really were that bright. That night was a waxing crescent phase of the moon, basically meaning no moon was out to pollute the sky. It’s experimenting like this which allows me to shoot things like this on wedding days 🙂
Looking forward to a clear starry night again at a wedding!
News: website change, bookings for 2013
We just made a few changes to out main website – vibrantphotography.com.au, updating a few details.
We are now taking some more bookings for 2013 with increased prices and a limited number of weddings we will take on next year.

Just a few photos from a recent family shoot I did in Canberra last friday. I do love the turning of the colours into Spring. Unfortunately most of the pink blossoms had blown away in the wind, but there was some pretty whites ones for us to play with. Thanks David, Caroline and the gorgeous Lara for braving the wind with me for the afternoon <3
