E’session: Brendon + Elissa

Posted by in Esession

Driving up to Cronulla where we were meeting, it was very overcast and full of grey skys. You wouldn’t know it when we got there! The weather was gorgeous! I met Brendon and Elissa for the first time and we jumped straight into it!

A bit of a run and romantic walk along the beach to relax them…

Cronulla North had some amazing green moss on the rocks which made for some wonderful photos!

Graffiti again…

Elissa was just sitting like this and I saw it and snap! She is going to make a stunning bride!

I love this one… particularly in black and white.

see the slideshow post above to see some more of the haut photos we took!

Hamilton Island

Posted by in Landscape

Ive back-posted this one, because it has some cracking landscapes!

Naomi, Josiah and I went to the Ken Duncan, Northern Exposure 2006 Photography Workshop on Hamilton Island, Queensland. Ken had some friends with him (left over from the AIPP Breakaway the week before) including Leo Meier (landscape), David Oliver (portraiture), Bruce Pottinger (from L&P) and Nancy & Ray Moxom (3d photography).

Naomi and Josiah relaxed on Hamilton Island while I got to go out on a cruiser, up in a helicopter and dragged my tired self up mountains at stupid times in the morning in the hope of some sunrise shots!

Josiah loved the beaches and sand!

Getting arty with another workshoppers thongs onboard the boat…

This is Ken Duncan lifting his stereo (3d) camera out of the way of a wave rolling in.

Another boat on the beautiful water!

One of the other delegates who was riding in the helicopter with me

Silhouette against a sunrise on the first day of the workshop

Josiah loving the water… Naomi Pregnant with Samuel

View from our balcony of catseye beach!

Josiah having a bath with me, in the bottom of the shower recess

There is no alcohol in this drink…

Most likely staring at a plane… Josiah is fascinated by them!

Mode of transport on the island is golf buggies!

Hill Inlet as from the helicopter

A rewarding sunrise

Ken set up some stumps on the beach for a game of cricket

Pretty sure he was out on this ball!

Looking back on my footprints

I have a gazillion more, I may get time one day to post them up here! It was an amazing trip, the location superb and the company unrivaled!

Scott + Sarah E’session

Posted by in Esession

Scott recently received his prints and CD of photos in the mail and I got this text from him…

“Jon! I just found ur parcel! They are so so so awesome! Thanks so much for these. They are really special. They’re photos that show all types of our personality. Fabulous! I thought there’d be one stand out but I have 14 favourites :)”

Thanks Scott! Scott & Sarah were photographed down near one of our local beaches: Shellharbour.

Notice anything unusual about this photo?

The water is unbelievably blue and gave a great backdrop!

I can’t remember what I said for this shot…

<insert some joke about a ball and chain…>

aren’t they a beautiful couple!

The water was ccccold… well done for staying in there to get some shots!

Scott and I were into graff for a while, so naturally I stuck him infront of some!

Thanks again guys, we had heaps of fun, I can’t wait to your wedding!

Makeup Shoot

Posted by in Wedding

Sheree of ‘Exquisite Glamour’ was after some photos to promote her new makeup business. A big thanks to ‘Kiama Blue Grand Mecure‘ Apartments for being kind enough to allow us shoot there. Sheree made-up 3 of her friends for the shoot…

Kylie getting lash extensions…

Although it ended up being quite a long day, we had fun and got some great images out of it!

By the time we got outside it was starting to get very cold, Kylie did a great job even though she was freezing!

This one is Naomi’s favourite…

Melissa…

Kylie in a change of clothes and different makeup…

and Patricia…

Sheree got a total of 130 photos from the shoot! I can’t wait to see them on her website!

Bombo Rocks!

Posted by in Landscape

Dee and I went to do some shooting down at Bombo rocks just around the corner from Kiama.
It was a pretty rough swell but made for some spectacular photos!

whoosh!…

Although it was a fair walk down around to these locations there was such a diversity! This could be a desert scene, certainly doesn’t look like it is bordered just to the left by the ocean!

This is just begging for a TTD session!…

More of a happy snap, but it does look like they are stranded 🙂

Dee was a little too enthusiastic in getting close to the rocks for ‘the shot’ and I managed to turn around just in time to catch a wave shower him! He tried rather poorly to shelter his camera by his body!

and I was at a safe distance shooting this…

Im not sure Dee learned his lesson… this was a close call again!

Definitely revisiting Bombo for a bridal session!
